SOLO BREATHWORK

Breathing is something you do thousands of times a day, usually without thinking about it.

A Breathwork Solo gives you the opportunity to slow down, pay attention and learn more about how your breathing works — and how breath, movement, physiology and nervous system are connected.

What is Breathwork?

Breathwork refers to the practice of conscious breathing (rather than subconscious) to influence physical, mental, and emotional states. It is a powerful tool used for centuries in various traditions to elicit relaxation, focus, and overall health.

At Mo.Co., we work from both eastern and western perspectives. Sometimes taking a practical and educational approach, other times more intuitive and spiritual. This depends entirely on your needs and goals.

Frequently
Asked
Questions

How often should I have a Solo?

For best results, practising once or twice a week is ideal. If you’re taking classes, adding a monthly or bi-monthly solo is a great way to boost progress.

For beginners, three 40-minute solos or two 60-minute solos is a perfect way to jumpstart your progress and ensure you enter classes feeling confident. Our Solo Intro Offer can be used for both options.

How early should I arrive?

For your first session, please arrive 10 minutes early so you have time to find us and get settled. After your first visit, you can comfortably arrive just a few minutes early.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. We recommend warm layers, as you will cool down as you relax.

Will it be private?

Yes. Breathwork solos are done either in a private treatment room, or we’ll ensure the studio space is reserved just for you. Each space offers different benefits – you might use both depending on your needs and goals.

Do I need experience?

Not at all. Your session will be adapted to your experience and ability.

Can I book if I have an injury or medical issues?

Often, yes. Please tell us about any injuries or relevant medical history when booking so we can match you with an appropriate teacher and adapt the session.

Can I book a specific teacher?

Yes, subject to availability.

Can I use a Solo session to prepare for a class?

Absolutely. Solo sessions can be a great way to build confidence and familiarity with Mo.Co. before you join group classes.

What equipment will I use?

Breathwork can be done on a table or on a mat on the floor. Typically you’ll be exploring different positions using bolsters, pillows, blocks or balls.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes. If you’d prefer to work with another person, we also offer Duet sessions.

Can I cancel my Solo?

Yes. Cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment and your solo credits will be returned for you to use later. If you ‘late-cancel’, credits are not returned.
