Our team

Amy Laithwaite
Co-Founder, Stretch Therapy & Biomechanics
Amy trained at Canada’s National Ballet School, where her passion for movement began. After a professional career in dance and teaching, she transitioned into kinesiology and manual therapy, driven by a desire to help people move and feel better. In 2019, she founded The Stretch Experience, combining her knowledge of biomechanics, stretch therapy, and postural restoration to create transformative results for her clients.
Amy’s work is rooted in advanced biomechanics, including techniques from the Postural Restoration Institute. She specialises in Myokinematic Restoration, Postural Respiration, and Pelvis Restoration, which address underlying biomechanical imbalances to improve alignment, flexibility, and movement efficiency. Her expertise in Anatomy Trains Postural Analysis further enhances her ability to unlock long-term tension and pain by repatterning movement and posture.
Beyond her hands-on work with clients, has written a CPD-certified course in Stretch Therapy, which is attended by industry professionals. Additionally, she is collaborating on self-care programmes for the NHS, ensuring her innovative approach to movement reaches a wider audience.
Movement Collective represents the culmination of Amy’s vision: a space to unite the art and science of movement.

Meredith Anderson
Co-Founder, Pilates
Meredith started Pilates during her dance training as a way to gain flexibility and strengthen her body. After completing her Bachelors program in dance (hons.) at York University Toronto, she went on to pursue a career in contemporary dance and choreography.
Meredith continued to see the amazing power of Pilates to improve not only strength and flexibility but also general health and well-being. Wanting to share this with others she embarked on the comprehensive teacher training programme with Fletcher Pilates; a classically based training programme with 1000+ hours of 1:1 training on all pilates equipment, anatomy, rehabilitation, gait analysis and pre/post natal.
With 20 years experience teaching Meredith has worked with a diverse range of clients; from 12 years to 87, people recovering from surgeries and injuries to professional athletes. Her strong skillset allows her to adapt easily to her client’s needs.
Meredith’s classes are rooted in natural movement; using flow and breath to harmonise the whole body. She continues to push herself to learn and grow as a teacher as well as a mover. Through her teaching she hopes to inspire her clients to be curious about movement and have confidence in their bodies.

Our methodology
Body literacy is our methodology. Body literacy is the understanding and awareness of one’s own body. Whether you’re a trained athlete or someone who has just begun their movement journey, the learning never ends. Mo.Co. teachers are committed to the true meaning of education – to draw out the best in you; to help you uncover your strength, flexibility and longevity. Step into a holistic movement practice.

How it works
From the inside out. Breath first to lay the foundation and free you up from your very core. Then stretch to relax and mobilise all the way from fingertips to toes. Finally, Pilates takes you from the floor to your feet giving you strength, balance and power.
Breath
Regulation + Foundation
When you breathe well, the bones in your ribcage and spine move, hydrating and relaxing everything up and downstream. Your nervous system regulates creating an environment ripe with the potential for change.
Classes will explore the full spectrum of the art and science of breath, from the functional act of breathing to the mind body connection.

Stretch
Resilience + Mobility
Muscles, bones, joints and fascia are hydrated and healed through stretching. Our method of stretch is compassionate and gentle, designed for recovery and longevity.
Both in group classes and solo sessions, you will learn how to correctly and safely stretch; finding the sweet spot that is useful, not painful.

Pilates
Strength + Balance
Pilates is a playful and joyful practice. Either on the floor or using equipment, Pilates focuses on the mobility and strength of your spine, core and pelvis while building flexibility and freedom in the hips, shoulders and neck.
Classes allow you to flow for a full 50 minutes of movement, challenging every muscle from head to toe. Learn to integrate breath and stretch into every movement.
