A tailored approach to massage at Mo.Co.
Our therapists are trained in various massage techniques and take a personalised approach to each session. Instead of selecting a specific type of massage in advance, you’ll begin with an intake and consultation with your therapist. Together, you’ll decide on the best treatment plan based on your needs (and wants!). Your therapist may incorporate multiple techniques in a single session to ensure the most effective, enjoyable and holistic treatment.
The session begins with a full assessment of postural deviations that may contribute to chronic pain issues and limited range of motion. This assessment, along with a complete intake process, allows for a targeted, bespoke treatment.
Techniques used at Mo.Co.
Both Western and Eastern techniques are used during each massage session to create a customised treatment plan just for you. Our expert massage therapists utilise a combination of techniques, including:
- Swedish Massage – Long, flowing strokes to promote circulation and relaxation, often resulting in better sleep.
- Trigger Point Therapy – Focused pressure on specific areas to relieve tension and restore movement.
- Lymphatic Drainage – Gentle movements to move lymph, reducing congestion and encouraging detoxification.
- Deep Tissue – Treating points in the muscles with targeted techniques relieving chronic tension restoring flexibility in the muscles.
- Myofascial Release – Helping release tight connective tissue and improve mobility.
- Pregnancy Massage – Light pressure and gentle strokes to promote relaxation and improve blood flow.
- Sports Massage – Enhances circulation, increasing tissue elasticity and reducing muscle tension. This technique is effective in restoring range of motion decreasing risk of injury.
- Shiatsu Massage – Anchored in Traditional Chinese Medicine working with the Meridian System to bring overall well-being and balance to the body.
